TRUE FAITH “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith.” (1 John 5:4) “Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23) It is important we understand What faith is all about before we go further in this teaching. So then, what is faith?  The dictionary defines faith as “belief in, devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without logical proof.” It also defines faith as “belief in and devotion to God.” The Bible has much more to say about  faith and how important it is.  Faith is to believe and to think, talk and act on what you believed When you do that then what you believed will  become a material reality.  Simply put, the biblical definition of faith is “trusting in something you cannot explicitly prove.” This definition of faith contains two aspects: intellectual assent and trust. Intellectual assent is believing something to be true

GRACED WITH GOODNESS AND MERCY. Jesus gave himself for us as a ransom so that we may have the right kind of life that God has ordained for us before the foundation of the world. What kind of life is it that we are talking about? It is His “Good life” (GOODNESS). David said , “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” [Psalm 23:6a]  The word, ‘surely’ in Psalm 23:6 means, ‘certainly’. It’s 100% guaranteed. It is undisputable that God’s goodness and mercies will always be there with you. When God promises us that goodness and mercies will follow us all the days of our lives, it means every day, in our entire or whole life that what will continually be with us are His goodness and mercy. This is our portion in Christ. What is goodness?  Goodness in this verse means “a life filled with good things, beauty, and favour.” It also means fortune, riches, abundance prosperity or wealth. No wonder Jesus said, “But I came so that my sheep will have life an

GOD WILL MAKE A WAY

Image
GOD WILL MAKE A WAY Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;  Isaiah 43:16-19   These words by Don Moen came to mind as am writing this: God will make a way  Where there seems to be no way; He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me. Truly  God always makes a way for His people. Sometimes when we are going through some tough times in life, we tend to forget that God will make a way of escape. We forget the record of Scripture, that God has never forsaken His people, and that in the darkest of hours He has always made a way. You may be facing a dead end right now and you feel helpless and are loosing hope and giving up. Everything around you may look gloomy and difficult and you can't seem to see a way out, but if you will trust God and keep on moving in faith, even when you don’t see a way, he will make a way. At the time you feel that you can’t go any further, when you are pressed on every

WONDERFULLY MADE " I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalm 139:11. God is a great Designer he has designed you so uniquely and made you valuable, thus your tremendous worth is more than you can imagine. You are not a mistake, you are not inferior, you are a special specie made to reveal the glory of God and to glorify Him. You are not ordinary, you are more than who you see in the mirror, you are so precious and valuable, you are God's unique child made in the image and likeness of God. You are loaded, yes so loaded with greatness: thus GREATNESS IS IN YOU. God has created us in such wisdom, power, and glory, the only proper response we can give to him is to appreciate who we are and praise, honour and glorify His name. Therefore no matter the situations that may be surrounding you, just stay positive and refuse to allow it to cast you down knowing who you are and who

FROM BITTERNESS TO SWEETNESS

Image
FROM BITTERNESS TO SWEETNESS When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means "bitter"). Ex. 15:23 The Israelites having journeyed for days without water in the wilderness was exhausted. The entire area is a wilderness and no water. Suddenly there is hope, they see water before them. On sight of the river, after three days of thirst, they heaped a sigh of relief. At last there is water before them...  Oh how joyous they must have been to find a relief.... But wait a second, their joy quickly turned sour, the blessing of the water was not what they expected, it is a bitter water. The only water turned to be “bitter”; bitter is form the Hebrew word for “marah”. Their joy turned to sorrow, their soul was in pains, "how could God do this to them", they must have thought. They all complained and murmured as a result of the bitter water. This showed that their hopes were dashed. They wo

PROSPERING IN ALL THINGS

Image
PROSPERING  IN  ALL THINGS The scripture in Psalm 1:3 says, " And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Here we see the life of the new creation man in Christ, it is living the kingdom life of prosperity in all his or her ways in this world. It says "WHATSOEVER he does shall prosper" not some things.... We are to experience prosperity in every path of life. The new creation man have been uprooted from the realm of the life of unfruitfulness and unproductivity unto the realm of prosperity in all things. This is because they have been chosen,  cultivated and secured through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We where told of Abraham that " The LORD blessed him in all things" (Genesis 24:1).  This is because God indeed blesses those who are his. No one in him lacks anything good. He makes all provision avai

THE WORD MADE FLESH   “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14. In order word the word became a being that can be seen and touch. He was made real. Who is this word that became flesh? He is in the person of Jesus Christ, thus the word is a being not just a spoken word. Every promises of God to you is to become flesh in your life and not to remain in the spiritual realm. But this can only happen when you take your place in the word, declaring him day and night. Every promises of God to you is to become flesh in your life and not to remain in the spiritual realm. But this can only happen when you take your place in the word, declaring him day and night. The word is ever living and its ever active, he  always brings about changes in the life of those who declares him and make him manifest in their lives The word is full of glory, thus anyone who declares
