PERSEVERANCE
IN
PRAYER 1

Jesus gave this parable "that men ought always to pray, and not faint;" Luke 18:1.
In order word men are to keep on praying and not give up or lose heart.  Thus Jesus is simply saying to us; be perseverance, do not give up in prayer no matter how terrible things may seem to be, and no matter how hopeless it seems to wait for an answer from God, keep on praying because God Will surely answer.

At the period when we pray and pray and pray and God seem not to show Himself, nor gives you no sense of His presence, no answer, and everything seemed like there were hopeless is the time when we faint and lose heart in prayers.

If the widow in the parable had given up because the unjust judge had not yet granted her her request; she would have lost out. But rather the widow continued to go to the unjust judge until she eventually wears him out because of her continual coming.

This parable of the widow and the unjust judge has one message; it is do not give up in prayer. “NEVER GIVE UP” No matter how unjust things seem to be, and no matter how hopeless it seems to wait for an answer from God, keep on praying for God will always answer.

There are times in the Christian walk when prayer becomes such a burden that you can hardly bear to pray. Perhaps you have so often prayed about something, and received no apparent answer, that you can hardly bring yourself to pray about it again. But Jesus admonished that we should keep on praying and not give up.

You may have reached the point where you begin to doubt, God’s ability to do it. Or you may begin to search for reasons as to why God isn't answering: you may think you don't have enough faith; or maybe your sins are not forgiven therefore its standing against you before God. You need to pick up courage and pray for as a new creature in Christ. God does not count your sins any more but sees you through his son.

God works in the way we cannot see, know, nor understand: although it may seem as if he is silent, yet he is working therefore Let us don’t faint in prayer but stand by faith, be perseverance, and in no time we will see His answer.

Some times when we have prayed and the answer is not yet coming, we begin to accept things as they are, and assume that they are God's WILL. We give up hope and stop believing that God cares for us and will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory. Thus we faint in prayers.

God cares enough to show us His will in his word, we should not begin living under the assumption that His silence means we should accept things as they are. Therefore we must go to his word and get to know and understand what his will is for us his children.

It is not God’s will that his children suffer untold pains and hardships, afflictions and sorrow, be unproductive etc. these are the works of the enemy thus we must pray to implement God’s will and reign in our lives.

God does not say no to our prayers; every prayer prayed in the will of God receives answers. “And this is the confidence we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will he answers us.” 1John 5:14. Though it tarries but it must surely come.
