DAYS OF VISITATION

DAYS OF VISITATION  Elizabeth Iyadi Abaye http://www.elizabethabaye.com  “The Lord JEHOVAH has done these things for me in the days in which he regarded me to take away my reproach among the children of men” Luke 1:25.  Sometimes when one is going through challenges, it seems as though you are forsaken by God. But God does not and can never forsake his own,  there is always a time of remembrance, a period when the Lord looks upon you with favour and begin to bring into your life His uncommon blessings. It is a time when the Lord says enough to the manipulations and reproaches of the wicked ones, a season when he says no more misfortune. Certainty situations are never forever for those who are rooted in Christ Jesus, those who call upon him day and night for surely he will arise and avenge their case in the day of his visitation. In the days wherein he will looked on them with a favourable eye, with a look of love and mercy thus He will remove shame and disgrace...

YOU ARE A GOOD SEED

Image
YOU ARE A GOOD SEED  By Elizabeth I. Abaye Oftentimes, when things are not going in our direction or in the way we expected.... When life becomes rough and unbearable people begin to think that something is wrong with them or that they have been given bad destiny. This is the reason many pray for God to change their destiny.... They even sing it in worships. They tend to forget that they are God's creation and His dear children and all that God made is good and his seed is in all his children. There's none made or born with defected destiny... You are perfectly made with a marvelous destiny. Now look at what the scripture says about the good seed, He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;  Matthew 13:37‭-‬38 (KJV), Are you Born Again? then you have the seed of the glorious God  in you because you're His dear c...

KEEPING THE RIGHT COMPANY  By Elizabeth I. Abaye  1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Don't be deceived, bad company corrupts good character." (CEB)  The people you hangout with, and spend time with matters in life and can affect your purpose positively or negatively.  You are born to be great but you can't achieve greatness by spending time with the scornful, the unserious minded people. Keeping the right kinds of company will add value to your life.  They are many who get inspiration from God that would have taken them to their estate of greatness but because they have been mingling with the wrong set of  people, they are not able to put their God given ideas to work.  Every time spent with those who are not doing any relevant thing to move their life forward to the next level is a waste of your potential. And for every wasted time you lost, you are losing great opportunity and money. You need to put your potentials to work so you can achieve purpose an...

COME UP HITHER

COME UP HITHER Elizabeth I. Abaye www.elizabethabaye.com “And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.” Revelation 11:12 KJV The call of the Spirit of God is always to a Higher Place, to see more, to know more, to receive more and to be more in God. The Christian Life by design is one of ever increasing glory...... No glory is ever enough; we are to Go Up Higher for more glory because it is always from one level of glory unto another. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Similarly, Proverbs 4:18 tells us, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” There is always more and more and more for us to grasp in Christ but for us to get them, we must Go Up Hither. It is in the place o...

CHOSEN BY GRACE Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:10 says, “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (KJV). Sometimes we tend to think that we get through in life by our own power or self-righteousness but I have come to understand that we are nothing outside the grace of God. No matter how educated you are if grace does not work with you, your education is meaningless, it will take you nowhere. Oh it is good to be righteous for that is who we are in Christ: nevertheless, you don’t depend on your righteousness but upon the Spirit of grace who administers grace upon grace on us. And no matter how gifted and talented you are, if you are not endowed with grace, your efforts will be worthless and unproductive. for “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh b...

OVERTAKING BY THE SPIRIT

Image
OVERTAKING BY THE SPIRIT Elizabeth I. Abaye 'Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel." 1 Kings 18:46 NLT    There's a realm that controls the physical, a realm where things are settled before it is made visible, it is the realm of the supernatural also known as the spiritual realm. No one can achieve anything meaningful in life without the assistant from the spiritual realm.      In Genesis 2:7 the scripture tells us, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul". KJV         Now understand that the clay was inactive, motionless and powerless until the breath of life,(which is the Spirit of life) was put into him. Thus without the Spirit there is no life, the Spirit in man is the power or force that makes Him operati...
