THE PROMISE'S OF GOD

  1. THE PROMISE'S OF GOD

Paul in 2 Corinthians 1:20 says the promises of God are Yea and Amen. “YEA” means “YES”. The promises of God are not “YES” today then tomorrow “NO”. Neither are they “Maybe”. The promises of God are “YES!” nothing short of YES.

Will God give you your heart desires? “YES He will!” Will He heal you? “YES He will!” Will He save and deliver you from that situation? “YES he will!” and if God says YES no man nor powers can say NO.

Because God’s promises are YES and AMEN, therefore He does not say NO to any prayer that is prayed in His will. Wherefore, John declared, “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to His will, He hears us” 1John 5:14.

Jesus in Revelation 3:14 said that He is the Amen, the faithful and true witness. If Jesus is the Amen It then means your case is settled already for Amen means “So be it.” It also means “It’s already done.” Therefore what God has spoken concerning you is already done, you just have to wait for the visible manifestation.

We were told that “Not one of all the LORD's good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.” [Joshua 21:45]. This is because “God cannot lie”, for “it is impossible for God to lie”.

We need to come to a place in God whereby we realise that delay is not denial, hence we must not doubt God’s promises nor say “NO” where God is saying “YES”.

To bring the promises of God that have already be concluded in heaven to reality, we must be in agreement with the promises. The scripture says, “Can two walk together except they be in agreement?” Amos 3:3.

No matter how many promises God has made, they are “YES and AMEN” in Christ. For God is faithful [truthful, authentic, trustworthy, reliable, and dependable]. God is unchangeable [unvarying, constant, unmovable and consistent].  And He is unshakeable.

No condition of the world can make God change from performing His promises to His children, the only person that can stop you from receiving is you and that is when you refuse to believe or key into God’s promises.

The word “promise” or “promises” is a declaration, a vow, a pledge, a guarantee an undertaken, or an assurance that one will do a particular thing or declare that something will happen. Thus all of God’s promises are sure because “God cannot lie.”

All the promises of God are true and trustworthy. He doesn’t say one thing and mean another. If He promised it, He will do it.

God Himself declares in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

What is it that God has promised you on today? Do you believe that His promises are “Yea and Amen” in your life? If you believe then you will have them made real pretty soon.

If we could actually take the Word of God and BELIEVE it according to what He says, we can come to only one conclusion; and that is the truth that every promises of God spoken regarding the believer is still available today; still in effect and has not been revoked or cancelled therefore can still be accessed by all of God’s children.

If God has said it then it is settled; believe it and stand on the word. Do not allow situations to shake you for situations are always deceitful but God’s word is YES and AMEN.
