  BE COURAGEOUS  “This is my command--be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9   What is courage?  Courage is Bravery, it is Fearlessness, it is Boldness and it is the strength to speak and act without fear when we are in difficult and dangerous situations.  To have courage is to be confident and even willing to suffer for what we believe.   A courageous person is not afraid of challenges, NO, not atall: they are “not afraid of adversity; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord”. Psalm 112:7 ESV  Furthermore, Jesus said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV.   To take heart is to be courageous; it is telling us to be strengthened in our hearts no matter the challenges that may arise.   LIGHT OF THE WORD Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."  David use the same word interchangeably... Lamp and light are same word however, he is teaching us the power of the word in a man's life how it can do diverse things for us The word directs man's steps and makes their way right, prosperous, successful and fruitful. The scripture says, I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. Eccl. 9:11 (NLT). The word of God directs us in our work and way, Thus those who delights in it do not stumble. GOD'S GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN.... Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14. KJV. And NIV and some other versions tells us "..... and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Grace brings God's good will, peace and favours to mankind. In the place of worry, anxiety, confusions, restlessness comes in the grace of God. He who taps into the grace in him or her lives a worry free life, they rest in Christ love and promises, they trust in his power of grace to take care of things for them...... Thus they harvest the benefits of his good will. Who are those that can enjoy this good will, peace and favour of God?
